Metrolinx Construction of the Ontario Line

Metrolinx is building a new subway line called the Ontario Line that will connect Exhibition Place on the shores of Lake Ontario to the Ontario Science Centre at Don Mills Road and Eglinton Avenue East. A portion of the Ontario Line will follow Pape Avenue. Construction activity will occur along Pape Avenue including the area in front of Pape Avenue Jr PS. The construction activity will change over time.

Regular meetings between school staff, ÎÛÎÛÂþ»­ central staff, and Metrolinx staff have been arranged to ensure the school community receives timely updates about the construction activities and its impact on Pape Avenue Jr PS.

Pape Avenue Junior Public School Construction Liaison Committee

Metrolinx established the Pape Avenue Jr PS Construction Liaison Committee (CLC) as a regular meeting for information sharing, communication, and addressing of issues related to the construction of the Ontario Line near Pape Avenue Jr PS.

The CLC is composed of Metrolinx staff, local elected officials, ÎÛÎÛÂþ»­ staff, Pape Avenue Jr PS parent representatives, and community members. The CLC meets monthly. The meetings are open to the public. The presentations and minutes of the meetings can be accessed on the Metrolinx website along with other information and notices about the construction of the Ontario Line.

• Staff will draft a report to the Board of Trustees for approval.
• The report will be presented to the Planning and Priorities Committee (PPC) of the Board on Thursday, January 16th, 2025. The report will be available by Monday, January 13: /Leadership/Boardroom/Agendas-Minutes
• PPC Meeting is when the public has an opportunity to depute to the Board.
