Research & Impact at the Centre of Excellence for Black Student Achievement

The Research & Impact section at the Centre of Excellence for Black Student Achievement is dedicated to evaluating programs, analyzing data, and sharing insights to improve Black students’ educational experiences. Through collaboration with educators, families, students, and community partners, we assess the effectiveness of culturally responsive programs and advocate for systemic change within the ÎÛÎÛÂþ» (ÎÛÎÛÂþ»).

Our research highlights key programs such as the Black Student Summer Leadership Program (BSSLP), Life Education Program, Pathways to Public Health, A Day in Aviation, and STEM-focused initiatives. Findings from these evaluations provide critical insights into student engagement, mentorship, leadership development, and career pathways, shaping best practices and future programming.

By documenting successes and challenges, we aim to drive evidence-based decision-making and support policies that promote equity and inclusion. Our reports are available to educators, policymakers, and families, fostering a deeper understanding of how culturally affirming education empowers Black students.
